December 2001 - ScotWeave Launch ScotCom
Another new product this month is ScotCom. If you are still using a courier to send design data from one company location to another (or to clients, suppliers, production plants) then ScotCom could pay for itself within a few months and then go on to produce great savings and much faster turnaround.

In simple terms, ScotCom allows you to put design information on the Internet, where it can be collected and viewed by anyone that you give access to (using secure passwords). This could be used to send ScotWeave designs or just loomcards to a production plant, or to setup sales browsing sites where clients can view your latest design collections. Design collections can be updated by you within minutes so that overseas sales staff have access to the latest designs at all times.

ScotCom can also be used as a two-way communications system, allowing ordering information to be sent back to you via the Internet. Designers can even download designs, change them, and send back the changed designs to the company headquarters.
